Minor Repairs

As part of our PAT testing service, we offer minor on-the-spot repairs to keep your equipment safe and compliant. This helps prevent unnecessary failures and avoids the need for repeat visits or costly downtime.

We replace BS1362 fuses free of charge where required. If a plug is found to be damaged or non-compliant, we can fit a new BS1363 plug for just £2.00 per item.

All repairs are carried out in line with current regulations and safety standards to ensure your appliances are tested and safe to return to service.

Microwave being tested

Microwave Emissions

As an optional add-on to your PAT testing, we offer microwave radiation leakage testing for just £5 per unit. This quick, non-invasive test checks for harmful emissions caused by wear and tear around door seals and enclosures.

Microwave leakage testing is especially recommended in staff kitchens, schools, hospitality venues, and commercial catering environments, where appliances are used frequently and may go unnoticed when faulty.

While not a legal requirement, this test supports your duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and aligns with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). It helps ensure that electrical appliances in the workplace remain safe for continued use.
